Lots of these are extremely popular these days. Some investors opt to proudly display their coins in archival folders, while others prefer air-tight capsules, or mylar-lined 2x2's. Whatever you do, do not store yours in the soft flips you often find in the market. They are made from PVC which breaks down over time and ruins the piece it was intended to preserve. Should you purchase coins already within one of these, move it as quickly as possible to a better storage medium. You might consider Mylar, but understand that they are brittle and may scuff the coin if isn't inserted and removed carefully. Although they aren't airtight, they're adequate choices for moderate priced coins that will be "left alone" for many years.
One thing is certain: regardless of how you choose to keep your coins, it will always a source of permanent enjoyment.
